“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” Henri Matisse
At the end of last year, I committed to doing some contract work for a private adoption agency. I quickly regretted it. The contract requirements and duties often conflicted with my personal beliefs and values.
I informed the agency that I would not continue after a certain point. They asked if I could work with one more woman before I ended my contract. I reluctantly agreed. Towards the end of fulfilling the contract, the young woman sent me the following text:
Ms. K, I know God has called you to do something greater! You are an angel and I know God put you in my life and I am forever grateful for you! You encouraged me and spoke words to me just as my mother would put them AND THAT TOUCHED MY LIFE!
So many times while completing the contract, I wanted to quit before it was over. The situation caused both internal and external chaos in my life.
However, if I had not stayed the course, that young woman would have made a decision that would have forever changed her life. She prayed to God for a sign and without me knowing it, He sent me.
What felt like a burden to me, was really a blessing for her. Sometimes we go through things and it is not for us. Sometimes, it is for someone else. God may trust you to go through a situation, so that you can be a blessing to someone else.
No matter what it looks like, there is purpose for everything that happens in your life. I challenge you to take a second look at that situation that you consider a burden, and you may see a blessing. It’s up to you to find the beauty in everything.
“What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.” Oscar Wilde
Have a blessed day!

You’re welcome! I pray God continues to grace you and encourage you as you go through this season of your life. No matter what happens, remember Romans 8:28 “All things work together for our good”

Amen! God lets us struggle in certain areas so we can comfort them that are experiencing the same struggles we have and teach them that it was God’s grace that helped us triumph in our trial.
