“Sometimes I need to focus on the battle God wants to win in me more than the battle I want Him to win for me”. ~Steven Furtick
Often times we want so badly for God to deal with a certain person, or situation, that we lose sight of the work He’s trying to do on the inside of us.
Sometimes the battle we really need to win has nothing to do with the other person, but has everything to do with us.
I challenge you to shift your focus this week. Instead of focusing on what needs to change in the other person, focus on what needs to change in you!
Have a blessed day!

I needed to read this. I was just holding on a grudge against a cousin/priest who is unloving and critical in his social media posts. Thanks for this reminder. ❤ Please pray for me to see him as God loves and please pray that he finds the genuine way to get saved. I hope he'll be more gentle, loving and humble when dealing with non-Catholic friends and relatives of his.

Hi Nance! Somehow I missed your comment. I apologize for the delay. I pray that God will give you the strength to show this cousin love and forgiveness. Maybe in you extending grace towards him, it will convict him to show love and grace towards others. I pray you and your family are doing well. Keep letting your light shine!

Thank you so much. It’s by God’s grace that I am able to love and pray for him and his family. I pray for their salvation because that’s the only way they would understand genuine love and kindness. Thanks a lot for always sharing your short yet substantial posts! ❤ God bless you and your family more sister! ❤

Praise God for His delivering power. He is so faithful to us. With every trial, we grow and get better. Blessings to you as well.

Good suggestion! I think we spend too much time pointing fingers!

You are right! We most certainly do. Sometimes it’s easier for us to focus on others rather than dealing with our own issues. I had to refocus today!
