Hello! How Are You, Really?

I’m always grateful when I receive a random text, email or phone call just asking how I’m doing. God always sends someone to do it when I need it the most. For me, a lot of times it’s when I’ve been going non stop and don’t even realize I’m overwhelmed or tired.

With the coronavirus, quarantine, stay at home orders, unexpected homeschooling, layoffs, empty store shelves, etc., there are those around us going through some tough situations and they might feel alone.

I encourage you today to reach out to somebody and just say how are you, thinking of you, hope you’re okay. You never know what that simple exchange will do for that person’s life.

If you’re reading this and you need someone to check on you, I pray someone will.

If not, I’m asking. 👋How are you doing, really? #CheckOnYourFriends #WeAreInThisTogether

Never Take Anything for Granted!

I was cleaning out my daughter’s stuff and came across a half empty bottle of hand sanitizer.

Prior to the coronavirus if I found a bottle with a small amount in it, I would throw it out because after all I could just buy another bottle.

It’s crazy how in a moment something that once would have been of no value to me, is now so priceless and valuable.

Although I’ve always thanked God for my blessings, this situation made me think of how much I’ve taken for granted without realizing it.

So tonight before I close my eyes, I’m counting my blessings.

Not the big things.

I’m counting all the little blessings.

The little things that I realize now more than ever can be here today and gone, restricted, or limited tomorrow.

I encourage you to take a moment today to count your blessings and appreciate what you have.

Strength for Today and Hope for Tomorrow!

One thing I’ve realized in all the craziness and uncertainty brought about with the coronavirus is, I AM BLESSED!!

I’m not saying that to put myself above anyone. I’m saying it because no matter what I have ever gone through, God has ALWAYS seen me through it. If He’s done it before, I have the faith and confidence He’ll do it for me again.

And again.

And again.

I know there are some who have completely lost hope in the midst of this pandemic. I want you to know I’m praying for you.

I’m praying for the single mothers without childcare, the restaurant workers with no job to clock in at today, the father worried his child might not eat lunch because school is out, the family worried about their next rent payment….. I’m praying for you.

I pray that you have the strength, provision, and resources to make it through this day and that you never lose hope that there will be a better tomorrow.

Be Encouraged! We are stronger together! 💕
