But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)
Even when it does not look like it, God is always up to something. We have to learn to trust His plan even when we do not understand.
The story of Joseph in the bible is a great example that nothing can stop the plan God has for your life. Joseph went from being a slave, to prisoner, to being second only to the King.
From slavery to his promotion was something called process! It is in the process that many of us become discouraged and quit.
It may “look” like everyone around you is prospering, BUT looks are sometimes deceiving.
Recently someone shared a testimony at my church of how on Facebook her life “looked” perfect, but behind closed doors her husband abused her. On Facebook, I’m sure many woman longed to have her life, not knowing the pain behind her smile.
It “looked” as if Joseph hit rock bottom when sold into slavery. It “looked” as if Joseph hit rock bottom when falsely accused and sent to prison. But God always had a plan.
From slavery to prison, he was being prepared and positioned for a promotion.
Some of you may think, “that’s a story in the bible but my situation is real”.
Well, I know a man who was an alcoholic most of his adult life. He hit rock bottom. He lost his family, his house, his job, his vehicles and all of his possessions. People counted him out and wrote him off.
God saved him, changed him, cleaned him up and restored back to him EVERYTHING he lost. His testimony now helps so many.
Some of us are on the brink of a breakthrough. No matter what it looks like….
DO NOT settle. DO NOT quit. KEEP standing. KEEP fighting. KEEP believing. Your change will come!
Our pastor, Jerome Nelson Sr., often says, “Don’t allow what you SEE to negate what you SAW.”
In other words, don’t allow the process to discourage you from believing that what God promised you will come to pass!
Have a blessed day!
