Just Breathe…

Breathe, rest

Some days the best thing you can do is focus on the tasks at hand for that day.

If you are a planner like myself, your natural reaction is to think about what you have to do today, tomorrow, next week and even three months from now. Some days that will result in more stress than peace.

If this is one of those days where you feel stretched to your limit, take a moment to stop and just Breathe.

Stop replaying in your mind the worst thing that could happen. Breathe!

Stop thinking about how everything might fall apart. Breathe!

When chaos calls, don’t answer. Breathe!

Inhale the peace of God and exhale the stress, worries, and cares. Breathe!

At the end of the day, some things are outside of your control.

Control what you can on today, give the rest to God and rest! Breathe!

Have a blessed day and remember to find the “jolly” in every “moment” life brings your way!

Thy Will Be Done….

For as long as I can remember, my mother has always said, “God didn’t promise that all our days would be easy”.

I believe her.

I know it’s true.

I know all things will work together for my good in the end (Romans 8:28).

What I don’t believe is that I always have to like what’s happening. Some things are painful to go through. Some things don’t make sense. It doesn’t mean I don’t trust God. It just means I’m human and it hurts!

God Is Always Working

Be encouraged on today. Know that even when you are unaware, God is always working in the background on your situation. Learn to rest and trust that HE WILL work it out!

Have a blessed day and remember to find the “jolly” in every “moment” life brings your way on today!

Sometimes You Have to Encourage Yourself!

image

As a child, I remember hearing adults say, “Do as I say, not as I do.” In other words, do what I tell you even if you see me doing the opposite. I always found that confusing.

However, lately I’ve been encouraging others to fight, believe, and trust, yet I didn’t have the strength to live out what I was encouraging them to do.

I freely shared words of life and hope with others, but was speechless when it came to me. When I needed encouragement the most, I came across my own words from an interview posted on The Far Above Rubies Collection in November 2016. Now, I have to do as I say!

<!–more–>

I never shared the interview with anyone until now. I pray it is as much of a blessing and an encouragement to you, as it was for me.

Follow the Path That Leads to Your Peace

image

Years ago while searching for my first home, I found what I felt was the perfect house. When the time came to put down money, I backed out. Why? I did not have any peace.

If you do not have peace about that relationship, job opportunity, marriage, purchase, move, divorce, or whatever decision you are about to make, DON’T DO IT! WAIT!

TRUST your instincts. TRUST what God is speaking to you about that situation. It may not make sense now, but TRUST that He knows what is best.

Weekly Devotion: When You Don’t Know What To Do – Surrender

image

Most of 2015, there was a specific thing my husband and I prayed for. We spoke it, and believed God would do it in 2016. Well, it happened, BUT it does not look anything like we imagined.

I think God has a sense of humor because He gave us what we wanted, or so we thought. We didn’t count the cost of what it would mean for this thing to happen. We didn’t think through what our life would look like if it happened.

When It Looks Like All Hope Is Lost

image

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)

Even when it does not look like it, God is always up to something. We have to learn to trust His plan even when we do not understand.

The story of Joseph in the bible is a great example that nothing can stop the plan God has for your life. Joseph went from being a slave, to prisoner, to being second only to the King.

From slavery to his promotion was something called process! It is in the process that many of us become discouraged and quit.

It may “look” like everyone around you is prospering, BUT looks are sometimes deceiving.  Continue reading

Let It Go!

Simply Let It GoSo many times in life, we miss out on something great, trying to hold on to something good, or familiar.

Just because something, someone, or an idea is “good”, does not mean it is from God.

If you are holding on to something or someone, and you know you need to let go, I urge you to do so.
